God first spoke “hear God” to me in 1998, before the first of my two nephews committed suicide. Afterward, I felt terrible, lost, and somewhat responsible, but most of all, I felt empty. I wondered if I had listened better to what was  said, maybe I could have made a difference in their lives. I later understood that God meant for me to hear Him with my heart and not my ears, for His will to be done through me.

Now, I strive to “hear God” with my heart as He uses me to tell others to do the same.
